Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 2½ sticks unsalted butter
  • 2½ cups sugar
  • 1¼ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325ºF. Spray and line a 9x13 pan.
  2. Melt butter. Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat vigorously until very well mixed.
  4. Add flour and baking powder to batter, and mix very well to combine.
  5. Optional: add chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until a tester comes out with some moist crumbs attached. Allow to cool.
